Memorial Hall Veterans

Memorial Hall and the Vision of Peace statue are located at the center of the Saint Paul City Hall and Ramsey County Courthouse. The marble hall and statue were dedicated in 1936 to the war veterans of Ramsey County. At that time the walls were inscribed with the names of service members from the county who died during World War I.
In 1990, a donation of the Veterans of Foreign Wars facilitated the addition of the names of veterans who died in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Veterans by war

1,584 veterans are identified on these walls, plaques and in written records.
The names of men and women from Ramsey County who gave their lives in military service to our country are engraved alphabetically on the marble pillars located on the first, second and third floors of Saint Paul City Hall – Ramsey County Courthouse.
