This annual report demonstrates the accomplishments of Workforce Solutions’ efforts throughout the year to provide opportunity and well-being for all Ramsey County residents and businesses.

In 2020, $72 million of these funds were rapidly invested in our community through the Ramsey County Investment and Support Efforts (RISE) program, which included three primary categories:
Home and help: housing, food and financial assistance for struggling individuals and families.
Employment support: resources for those who have lost their jobs or need help with employment.
Small business: support for small businesses to stay open and adapt.

Ramsey County Workforce Solutions (WFS), in partnership with the Workforce Innovation Board (WIB), strives to collectively build a more inclusive economy through workforce development programs and services supporting Ramsey County job seekers and employers.

In 2021, Ramsey County launched a workforce development program, Right Track Plus, which helped prepare COVID-impacted young adults, ages 18-24, for new careers.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) divides federal funding for Workforce Solutions to administer programs that serve individuals who have been laid off or lost a job through no fault of their own (dislocated workers), unemployed low-income adult residents (18 years and older) and eligible young adults (ages 14-24) who are pursuing education and employment goals.
